The following terms of use apply to all areas of the Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) and connected services. This code is in addition to all other College policies.
Access
All learners attending Newbury College are permitted access to the Virtual Learning Environment*
(Moodle) and connecting services in accordance with these terms. Access may be restricted or removed
due to misuse.
*The services offered on the VLE are subject to change without notice.
Terms of Use
Disciplinary Action
Should a user contravene this Code of Conduct or any other College Policy related to the use of the VLE,
the offence will be logged and the following action will be taken...
• One Week restriction of services
Access will be restricted to the minimum level which provides access to basic services for one week.
This includes the removal of messaging and forum rights.
• One Term restriction of services
Access will be restricted to the minimum level which provides access to basic services for one term.
This includes the removal of messaging and forum rights. A copy of the offence will be sent to your Course Leader and
Student Adviser. This may include a temporary removal of IT facilities.
• Permanent restriction of services
Access will be restricted to the minimum level which provides access to basic services
permanently or until a date decided by a member of staff. A copy of the offence will be sent to your Course
Leader and Student Adviser. This may include removal of IT facilities and further disciplinary procedures.
• Removal of all IT Services
Access to College IT Services will be removed or heavily restricted as seen fit.
A copy of the offence will be sent to your Course Leader and Student Adviser. This may include further
disciplinary procedures.
